YARD WORK IS LOVELY EXCEPT IN JULY
Our goal all summer has been to get our yard back into shape!  We were told by neighbors that it had been ignored for a couple years and it showed! We de-thatched, fertilized, de-bugged, fertilized again, ripped out dieing tree's, sold and removed our huge swing set that wasn't being used, and most importantly we took out the nasty "rock garden" and planted grass!  The grass is still growing but it has improved it a lot!  We still want to move our fence over and make room for stairs since we don't have any from the sidewalk up to our house, and make room for shrubbery by the porch and up the steps.  Next summer we will continue and eventually finish our patio out back, our garden, the shed, and an RV pad (money permitting) Isn't owning a home fun!?!?!?!

We ended up planting grass in July and boy was it hot!!  We were exhausted in just a half hour!

First we had to remove the rocks which we hired one of my dad's men to come and haul them away, 15 hrs later they were gone forever!

Then put fresh soil down with a layer of fertilizer & then grass seed

Our planted grass is still growing, but it's lookin pretty darn good!

This is in May

This is in July after Jeff spent many hours fertilizing and putting together a nice sprinkler system!  Best grass in the neighborhood!
